Previous | Home | NextWalking further southeast on Östra Långgatan. This is the corner of Stora Gatan and Östra Långgatan. To the left (red building) was Scheele's first lodging, and to the right (yellow building) was the initial pharmacy when Scheele moved to Köping in 1775. The original buildings are replaced by stone buildings. This initial pharmacy, the "Pohl Pharmacy" (the name of the previous owner) was actually the site where Scheele made his discoveries of tungsten, molybdenum, and barium.
